Introduction

This article is about a project called “ Shoe mart billing system ”, which is done in Microsoft Excel, with the help of Macro. A Macro is a series of commands and functions those are stored in a Microsoft Visual Basic Module and it could be run wherever you need to perform a task. With the help of Macro and Visual Basic Commands, this project will help you to bill the items purchased from a shoe mart.

Background

This article assumes that you have some basic knowledge in Microsoft excel and Visual Basic.

Using the Project

Before doing or editing a project in Macro you should activate macro and explore the developer tab first.

1. Select the “Microsoft Office” button and click “Excel option”

2. Select the option “Advanced” and choose “Show developer tab” option.

3. Select “Trust Centre”, click “Trust Centre Settings” and choose Macro Settings.

4. Select “Enable all macros” and click “Trust Access to VBA project object model” option.

5. Select OK button.

Run Macro: go to the developer tab and select Macro. Run macro by clicking the “Run” button. Edit macro: select “Step into” button, the desired VBA code will be opened for editing the selected macro.

Some of the basic features used in this project are: Macro, VBA, Module, Workbook, Sheet, Cell, Developer Tab, Insert Controls, Microsoft Excel 2007.
